Hi

Havent had the best patient whit playing, hate it when  the frkin monsters kill me, they spawn as neewbees all time, and iwe been playin for  years, hrrrrr.  
Stili struggling with mapping

Found some good reading about uED mapping, so its getting better. Googel crome got a translator - but its almost as difficult to understad, as in swedish, what it means.
Biggest problem now is. BSP cuts, mostly  when i do  terrain, when i look at the map in Alt +4 mode (BSP cuts) the map gets werry red, i have tryed to find some reading about it,  any one have a tip? Do the different collors have any meaning in Alt + 4 mode?
And this about texturing. spessially when i do 2d structurs.  I have  build parts of the map  diffrent maps, hmm, and doing export and import  to put the hole map together,  and in some i have lost all textures,  the hole map is back to the grey bubble texture.
Could use some reading about "groups"  "classes" "packages" , have lost sum maps trying to make my own monsterclasses.. I think i must have a group or package when map is finnished, hmmm?
A problem whit the monsters is, spessially Skariis, they dont care if i shoot them they yust stand together and die, same as in Hellgaountlet, i think, no problem when i use Spawnpoints.
And "map-scaling", think there is a program for it, cant find it,and dont know  what its about.
Made sum CTF maps  for instagib long ago, think they was called "jolt" or sumthing, 2 rooms a corridor whit lots of yunk init.
Well, my map is about redy, workin on the start room a,t,m.

Well iwe found a nice UED guide but its not about MH (birrabrothers.com), and it has helped me alot as im no expert on English.
But i got a question! "How do i get monsters to spawn  when im looking at spawnpoint, i know its possible, but dont remember how. Hope u can help me whit that. Now i have to turn around to get them to spawn  Evil or Very Mad

Iwe been trying for sum times to build a MH map, now i got 1 that i want someone to look at and maybe try it on MH-Mapping server! Gess the monsters need sum modifiing, and sum more to be added!

I was creating a new Gasbag type in  Aktor --> --> new   --> myLevel in packages -->  ok --> blue window open  -->  close it
-->. thnen in actor browser i created a new gasbag type. Dont know what i did wrong here

Well, i stillstrugling with my map  and its getting ok i gess. But now i hawe messed up uED so when i try start it, it crashes and i get this message: " Cant find EditPackage "MyLevel"  History : UEditorEngine :: Init < - InitEngine " .  Would be glad if i can get help here. Many hours by the uED. Thought iwe alredy made all mistake there is in mapping.  Sad

Mover Properties -> Object -> Initial State: TriggerOpenTimed
I also had to set "bUseTriggered" to "true"

That solved that problem i hope. I made a small 2 room map with a Mover to try it and it works fine there.
Gonna try it in real map tomorrow

Hi again!
Still a noob in MH-Mapping i gess.
My map is about "half-done".
Been experimenting with Dispatchers, CreatureFactorys, Triggers and lots more.

But iwe got a problem with "counters" .
- The counter works ok but i cant get it to match the "event" i want it to match, iwe followed
the tutorial about 100 times, but still the stupid mover dosent open when monsters are killed and the
counter say iwe killed them all!  I think there can be a setting in the "Moverproperties" as the C,F and
Trigger and Spawnpoints and Counter work all fine, the mower opends in "BumpOpen" style even
befor ive triggerd the CreatureFactory! Are there any special settings in "moverproperties" i have to do?    Confused

- And i also cant get the game to work as on the MH server. Iwe tried to DL sum maps to try, and all works (or DONT works)
the same. Start with the gun and 100 hp, iwe added loots of ammo and weapon and healpacks all over my map to be able to testplay it  Evil or Very Mad

Well, im having a lot of fun mapping aswell so  Smile

Mapping.
Got alot of question. Gess its better to use this forum than try on my own.
1: Are there any mods (or special stuff) i need for makin a map run like on dU server?
2: How to change size of the monsters?

Can tell you abot a noob mistake iwe yust solved!
Been trying to add weapons and pickup items for hours and hours! They just was not there when i tested the map Sad
All i had to do was klick away the instagib "Always use this mutator" in game.

Ohhh yea.
Great, monsters are here now,  a lot to learn as i can se.
Had to delete the map i made, cos of the Actor browser .ini file.
Time for some game now..
