I think they're both online, but I've not been on. It should be on as MH-Boxes-Remade][.

There's a minor bug at the end: players have to jump to touch the end trigger. I didn't notice because I jump too much. Razz

I'll fix it but before that I'll wait some games to see if other problems occur. There are already people saying it's too easy!

I've played the map on mapping and it is looking good! Much improvement. I find the atmospheric light and underground feeling well worked out. Good job!

Maybe you did this on purpose, maybe you didn't; I find the brutes on top of the walls in the zig-zag part highy annoying. Also they are often not visible as shown below.

This occurred on all of them, often.

And on the end stages, with the titans, It will give people red faces I think.  Laughing

Other than that, good work this remake. Love it.

I mentioned to Dem in a test that I feel the behemoths slow down the gameplay at that part and cluster things up, but Dem said he likes them and we decided to keep them there for now. It's surprising how many players don't look up.

The idea of removing some of the titans has crossed my mind a few times, but again, I wanted to see how it would work with a server full. Seems rather hectic, I must say. But I'm getting conflicting opinions at the moment; some seem to say it's too easy, but I'm also seeing a fair few deaths in the match logs.

But thanks for your feedback. This was only supposed to be a very basic map to help me get back into mapping after getting close to a decade without releasing anything, but Dem took it and ran with it.

I guess it's annoying because you played alone.
With more players the brutes at ground level are fast to clear, and the ones above add to the challenge. One nice thing being the 2D fight becomes 3D, it's not something you often see in MH.
You don't have to kill them at the beginning either. You can just snipe the brutes below and rush, or jump across the maze with quadshot, and in both cases kill the behemoths later.

The disappearance glitch is a known limitation of the engine to save bandwith, when it thinks players don't need to see, except here we do.
Long story short, the best we can do in our case is replacing those walls with movers to force the engine to "see-through" and show what's behind.
That's a rather desperate solution, and considering it's a glitch players are familiar with I don't think it's such a big deal.

Thanks! I felt that too in ninja's map and then tried to enhance it. I think the song choice helped a lot.

If you want the fix for this, drop me an email. It's too aggressive to use willy nilly across an entire server but there's no reason not to embed it into your map and try using it that way. I fixed this for Hitman and he had pretty good success with it provided the server is robust and there aren't 500+ monsters spawned into the map.

I only stop by here every once in a long while so if you want it you'll have to let me know aside from replying here. It may be another six months before I stop back in. Truthfully I just needed a file for my coop server and it was in one of the map downloads, otherwise I'd have not been in.
