New mapvote is installed on Privat server.
Changes:
* Made columns larger to see more of the map name¹
* Background color changed to sandy brown, easier on the eyes
* Fixed various mis-spellings
* ListFilters expanded to 256
* Exclude Filters expanded to 64
¹ Mapvote will not display fully on resolutions smaller than 1024X768! This was unavoidable to increase the column width and add real esate to the voting screen. 800X600 players can still vote but the ends of the vote screen will exceed their monitor. Who plays at 800X600 still anyway? |

I'm not saying to change it but as for playing in higher res, my eyes cannot take higher than 640x480. My windows is set to that. I don't like the newer games (like World of Warcraft), maybe in time i could have learned to like them but i can't handle the res. |

Cool! Maybe can be a good idea putting this feature on servers soon But i think that Map Vote LA 1.3 is enough because if the map has a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng name that pass the border of map vote, the result will be the same as LA 1.3, i went to Unreal Admins forums and found a problem

Do you think its a problem?
Even my Netbook has a resolution of 1024x600
I play UT in FullHD (1920x1080) and you need a verrrrrrrrry old PC to play with less than XGA.
There must be other things like Jansen said.. but its not a bug or problem ;)

I thought gopostal was banned from there, or am I getting mixed up with another site? If so then using that email isn't very stealthy ;)
Glad he made a new version though, long overdue! So the only other thing it needs is automatic screen resolution detection which adjusts the layout depending on screen size. That's what I had to do with the scoreboard. What a pain in the ass that was!
Good job nethertheless. |

In my opinion, the Map Vote LA 1.3 is still better... i tested the new Map Vote on privat server but i saw some buttons non-aligned and etc.... As BoB said, just needs an auto screen adjust detection like on LA 1.3!
@-BoB-: gopostal was banned from there but he uses other accounts... other aliases like UTrustedPlayer / Kelly and etc.....
@Cyberia-Mix: Ye, especially those players that have a small screen resolution! |

Buttons not aligned?
And MapVoteLA13 has not a auto screen adjust detection. It has a hardcoded size.

Eh? And forgot to mention, i think that the white background is a bit better than the sandy brown one.... the columns are larger but if the server has a map with a long name that exceeds the width of them.... the "result" will be the same (like this name MH-ABCDEFEGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ for example ) Anyway, it could be nice if players have monitors with a big screen resolution.... otherwise players will complain about this (like i said before and Cyberia-Mix too) I dont know if i am used with LA 1.3 so much or not I think that LA 1.3 still better |

Well, the things I like about the new v2 is the better space for map names and also much more and better control of what maps go where, etc.
With the current "13" version, I can hardly tell or see the names of some maps. (actually a lot of maps)
I will be trying it out on my {CMM} server for sure. |
