I was watching general to a exploit to squid section of sunken ship the bow of the ship bottom part could be bypass though like the ghost cheat and you be in the squid section part general done this number times as well few other people I think this map needs some fixing

Unfortunately, there is a number of maps that can be exploited in a similar manner.
As an example, have a look at MH-RuinsBridge-V122, MH-SkyTownAK3, MH-SkyLand2-V112+Fix1 or MH-KG_HighSchool.
In all of those, it is possible to skip a portion of the map.
I think there used to be a discussion here, whether using those "shortcuts" should be punishable or not, but I don't remember what the Admins thought of it.
I don't know if anyone would bother editing all those maps.

There was a debate on this a while ago, as all of these exploits have been known by most regulars for many years. The discussion became pretty heated about whether editing other peoples maps is okay or not.
I believe that, if the exploits ruin the gameplay of the map, they should be dealt with, as the mappers clearly did not intend for players to play the maps in these ways, skipping all of their hard work.

As examples, without trying to give away the exploits, I would increase the lava damage on HighSchool by just a little bit so that players cannot make it in time.As for SkyTown and RuinsBridge, simple block-player actors would more than suffice.

I would happily edit any maps that needed fixing, but that depends on what the community thinks of editing these maps. I know some maps have been tweaked by players already (SkyLand2 had a fairly big change, as did TempleOfTheGods), and some have had much bigger changes than simply getting rid of a bug in the map.

Yeah it's unfortunate that some these maps may not be fix but who knows someday they will but that is another topic all together

I think it'd be nice if someone was to fix the maps a little bit more. A lot of people "exploit" these certain maps a lot, and I personally don't like it at all. The maps should be played the way they were meant to be played. No need for cheating.

If the community can agree on whether or not they should be fixed, I could fix most of the biggest offenders within a couple of hours.

But I'm sure that issue would cause a bit of a debate, again. I'd like BoB or Wolfi's input on that before going any further.

A fix is a fix, which is always helpful. Therefore I see no reason why it shouldn't it fixed. It clearly is a problem for some players so, I say lets do it! I'm willing to apply to do some maps.

Can somebody or can all of you provide short list of maps with maps with exploits / bugs? Or create a topic about it, that would be awesome.

I made a few quick fixes for the main offenders. It's up to Wolfi and BoB if they want to use them or not, but they're done either way.
I will list the fixes, but not describe the exploits just in case the maps aren't uploaded and more people start to abuse them.

All fixes are tested, working and don't alter the intended gameplay.

Arden
- Exploit that allows players to get on top of the mountains and skip most of the map has been fixed. (Objects removed).
- Exploit that allows players to get past the gate right from the beginning has been fixed. (Invisible wall added).

These exploits are very commonly used, and I would like to see them implemented as they were not what the original mappers intended. They often ruin the maps and can result in the maps being ended very early.
