Terra, not everyone has to love you and your maps. They are entitled to their own opinion. And demanding an apology is going to just make yourself look stupid.

Uuuuuh:

- Useless secret = secret that has nothing useful for gameplay (deemers, monsters, etc.). Admit that it's shorter to write this way.

- We're fighting overpowered aliens that shoot giant nukes, so yes, "secret crystals of hope" is gay, cheesy if you prefer, and out of place anyway. It's your choice to use such storytelling, and it's mine to say it doesn't work. Opinions etc.
And disclaimer: I hope people understand this use of gay is slang, and unrelated to the users' actual opinion towards homosexuality.

So yeah, I uploaded your map, tested it, gave constructive feedback, commended the layout and architecture, and you're still bitching because I make sarcasms about the storyline.

What if I made a butthurt thread against the loads of players saying trash about MH-Terraniux?

What if I placed statues of myself in my maps, joined whenever the latest one is on to spec, telling players to "Enjoy :)" at the start, "I hope you enjoyed :)" at the end, jumping on every single resulting reaction to thank that player warmly ^^, and anxiously read chatlogs of the games I missed??

What if I was secretly jealous of you and Thunderbolt because your maps are more popular than mines????????

I like your maps Tera. Some people don't. Sometimes they have harsh comments and opinions. Anyway it won't change the players own opinion who plays or played the map even if they read it. Don't worry. Imagine the gyu who made ATaaa.. how many bad things he was adviced, poor mapper:D and there are still many who loves that map no matter how hard we criticize it .. haa Smile

happens. Some people criticise my works innl life, some people are so rude i would just give them a high five with a chair in their face yet i still continue and smile. Can't please everyone. Demona and you know Terra is proud of his maps and puts many hours of work in them so at least try to be more polite with him as you know him. Smile

I think this is a massive over reaction from Terra. If Demona was directly talking to you about the map, I'm sure he would have been a lot more constructive with his criticism. Did he expect you'd read what he said on the server? Doubtful. There's no need to go in such deep, meaningful descriptions about why you don't like a part of a map if the mapper isn't present. Especially if you're busy playing.

A better reaction would have been to contact Demona and ask him privately what he didn't like about the map. Not this public nonsense which seems to be an attempt to lower everyones opinion of Demona. Private messages are there for a reason.

Demona: I think MH-Terraniux is awesome and you know I'm a big fan of your work.

I already knew that Terra was reading his maps chatlogs. And to me chatlogs are public anyway, so if I'd rather not say something I won't.

EeeeEEeh, in fact no, I'd rather not. I tend to see PMs as harassment, especially if it's about something you're afraid to bring in in public because it won't turn out the way you want to.
By making the matter public you also avoid the "it's only you and me so let's say I'm the one in the right" bullshit, since third parties opinions will weight on the issue.

I was expecting more replies like Bob's one though.
