Hello, I'd find it great if some 'new' maps would be added on the server. The more maps the more variation there will be, now it seems like it's always same maps.. I don't see a reason why not ?

The problem is that there aren't many new maps being made these days Some other MH servers have a lot more maps, but they also have a lot of lower-quality maps. I like the dU (mostly) has maps that are at least somewhat enjoyable. I'd love to see new maps to play, though, and I'm trying to get back into mapping, but I'm just so busy with real life stuff that I have little time to make new maps.

Normally I and other mappers would be the ones that ask the question. Now the tables are turned.

I'll be glad to provide some more maps! But what kind of maps would the public like to see more?

Do a Google search of images for Ronda Spain, that would make the coolest looking map. Not to mention the long death drops if you're not careful. And of course, maybe less buildings for mapping ease. Just an idea. Afterdark2 would be nice too Terra. Those maps look nice T-Bolt and Hellfie.

I'm not promising on finishing Mayan Invasion since I also started something else a few days ago.

Wow, so many replies so quickly... with the state of the inactivity on the forum nowadays, I wasn't expecting so much input so quickly! (btw I've been a lurker for some time, but only created my account a couple of days ago at the same time with MireYa...) So, Yea if you guys are willing to actually create (or finish!) new maps to be added to the server, that would be absolutely amazing! Hats off to people who are still making new MH maps for UT99! As for other existing maps that can be found on other servers, well maybe we should have another look at what's available elsewhere, and consider adding it? After all there are other maps out there that are not bad... Cheers, Crow.

Anyone asking for new maps needs to be aware that:

1) dU already has 95% of the good ones. The last 5% could be added with some motivation but you see it won't make a huge difference.

2) Most mappers are long gone, and most of the remaining ones are here. Razz

And as for the rest of the other mappers I'd refer UnrealPlayground as a big 'mappers' database for specific findings concerning UT maps in generally.

For the single and campaign stuff, as obvious UnrealSP.org =)

We (UT developers) are less than before, but still here. Reactions, feedback and seeing your map going live is what we crave hehe.

Bump for what the title says... We need those! The place is really becoming lame for the long time players... really dull... If there's a feeling that we aren't sure WHAT to add, then how about we have a quick look at the few other MH servers that are still alive? They have a variety of maps, many of which can be added to dU, and breathe some much needed life into our beloved dU MH! I really hope there would be some active change to things in the near future...

No worries, I keep on mapping! Nice to see these post though :) Maybe focusing a bit more smaller maps, would be benifit the situation rather than popping a new ad2 sized map haha. To be continued!
