Hello, fellow monster hunters -- Beemo here.

Some of you may know that I have been a frequent on the dU servers for years. A lot of nicknames, I have went under. A lot of memories were had, good and bad. I have met lots of people, good and bad. I have also made friends within the community, too.

You may also know that the administration is not quite as active as they used to be. (dU has like, what, 3 active admins?) There are also some misbehaving players out there, too, that need to be taken care of.

This is obviously not good, and I feel something needs to be done. Therefore, I have a proposal. I would like to become one with the dU staff -- an admin, or a moderator, at least. This community needs more active staff, and, frankly, I think I would be fit for a position in power. If you choose to accept my offer, I will try to do my best to clean the place up a bit. If not, I understand, but some type of action must be taken.

I would also like to propose a rule removal regarding the "no cursing rule." Unreal Tournament is rated M for Mature for a reason. The game contains scenes of violently shooting others as a form of galactic entertainment, blood and gore, strong language "taunts," and nudity. What nudity, you may say? Well, for one, some maps (such as the deathmatch tutorial map) include stained-glass paintings of nude women, and, if you "gib" (make one explode into bloody pieces) a female character, a bloody breast can be seen as one of the disembodied body parts. Then, there are servers like this that want to have "G-rated servers" for M rated games such as this, like "no cursing" or something of the sort. That makes no sense, imo. Besides, no one abides by the "no cursing" rule anyway, not even administration. I'm not saying it to be mean, but, it's the truth. That's something else that needs to be dealt with -- players disobeying rules. But, whatever. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Knowing Beemo over a few years, and knowing that he is friendly, not confrontational, and overall a very reasonable player and someone fun to have around, he gets my vote :)

Ive been here for so long, I should be up for a little admin / mod as well.  hooray bouncing  But I don't ask for it. Would be nice one day though.

As far as I know no one has become part of the staff by winning popular vote. Admins always picked new members of the staff according to their likes (or dislikes) despite any requests etc.
And the thing is admins have been AWAY for looong time so I see no point in making yet another thread about topic which can't be solved with them being absent.

Anyway, I agree that dU is in need of some changes, however, the number one isssue we face currently is whereabouts of Wolfi and Bob Smile
