Heya .
first, im quite fine with the nightbox and already started to work with it..
but one little thing (lol) .. maybe we should change the moon from straight above head to some 'more viewable' position??
..or i will break my neck next time watching it lol
anyway.. i have also a little quick question..
is it possible to configure an InvisibleCollisionHull the way, that it blocks players but not monsters and projectiles ??..
..like BlockPlayer Actors? |

.just an idea about ur thoughts to collect keys/runes in the map to trigger something...
dont know if u already built such a map.. but wouldnt it be nice if we all hide one in each part?
so the players have to collect them additionally to normal gameplay, to activate a final enemy or open an endgate or ..
..maybe just to boost teamscore a bit for each..the more u find the better the teamscore..or....
.........eat banana.

My part is pretty much finished already for a while, when hyperion makes her part I can end mine.

Well, I am not the one who started this, but as a participant I have my right to say something about it.
Have a nice working time untill then. After that you can insert ( if you still want and wish) your part, if they both agree, but I think they won't make a big deal out of it
Don't worry, there is no need to be fast. It is a mapping project, it is better to spent weeks and archieve quality, rather than making haste and making everything screwed up in order to fit in.
Keep that in mind. |

What about each mapper making their own part playable (temporarily with player starts and an end) and then we can test each part on the mapping server. Then when all parts are finished they can be stitched together into one map??
It saves the ones who have there part ready now having to wait so long until its tested.
Just a thought.... |

Yes great idea.
My parts are already finished. I will upload them onto my website and post the download link.
Edit: forgot to put monsters and items in the map, architecture and such are finished, but they can also be put in later. |

Here are 2 parts I have, part 1 is small and part 2 is big.
You can use them both, but you can also use just one.
Note:
Part 2 is actually my original CM-4 project, but I don't use it anymore. It perfectly fits the ancient theme (no modern age , like lifts and machines )and contains MyLevel textures!
My suggestion is to use part 2, cause each mapper can attach it's part practially everywhere.
Both maps have no inventory items and no monsters, but they can be inserted by everyone.

Hey.
just to give some information about my state of affairs.
im feeling like Hyperion ^^... i dont really have the inspiration and/or mood in the last weeks
to work on or finish my part. feeling like a 'summer slump' a bit, and i really dont know when
this gonna can change again.
plus i had some problems in building, which i dont know how to handle them. there have to be
a change, but i still dont know how.. or where.
so.. for me, like for Hyperion ... time, time and more time is needed.

Yes, I know the feeling. I had quite the same, or perhaps still have.
Here is what I do in order to get the spirit back. Put UT on a second place, go play or do something else whenever you want to start UT / UED.
Go watch movies or videos that have the theme your mood is set to. Or make things in photoshop or read books with lots of pictures, like strips.
You'll start recognizing things you can make the in UT too, and notice the creativity.
Then start working again That is how it keeps me going atm. |

I meant it more in a way of you should get started soon and not in a month or two lol.
This also depends on how far others mappers will be in a month but you get the point.
Anyhow, I didn't expect this to be finished fast and it doesn't have to.
Though I think Dodo has some progess too already and Terra also finished it apparently so progess is coming slowly. |
